A food loving traveller..
I have been a lover of all things food for as long as I can remember - not many things put a bigger smile on my face than a tasty dinner! When I left Glasgow to travel abroad in 2010, I was 19 and had no idea what was ahead, or how instrumental the humble dinner would become for me. After several months in Asia, a couple of years in Australia and a summer in Spain, I realised the major theme running through my travels was food. I found myself traveling to places purely to eat at the most talked about cafe, or to scout out the best version of the local speciality - the best pain au chocolate in Paris, the most delicious blood sausage in Spain or the flattest flat white in Melbourne; I had to soak it all up. Constantly trying to avoid tourist traps and taste the real deal, I ended up in some weird, but spectacularly wonderful places with the most incredible foodie memories & friends to boot. I am a firm believer that nothing brings people together like a good meal made with love.
Fast forward 8 years and not that much has changed, I have never really returned home to Glasgow for any length of time and am still travelling far and wide to seek out the tastiest delights this world has to offer. The only difference is I am now a trained chef, able to truly combine my loves - food & travel. For the past few years I have worked seasonally as a chef - cooking for guests in ski chalets during winter, and in summer properties during summer.
